We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Data Scientist to join our growing Data & Analytics team. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent graduate who has leveraged academic studies and relevant internships to build a strong foundation in data manipulation, statistical modeling, and machine learning. The successful candidate will work closely with senior team members, assisting in the full lifecycle of data science projects from data preparation and exploratory analysis to model deployment and reporting with a primary focus on continuous learning and execution.
Job Description
- Data Preparation & Exploration: Clean, transform, and merge large, complex datasets using SQL and Python (Pandas/NumPy) to prepare them for modeling.
- Model Building Assistance: Assist in the development, training, and evaluation of fundamental Machine Learning models (e.g., linear regression, classification, clustering).
- Performance Monitoring: Support the monitoring and maintenance of existing production models, tracking key metrics, and identifying opportunities for re-training or optimization.
- Statistical Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc statistical analyses to answer business questions and communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Visualization & Reporting: Create clear, intuitive data visualizations and dashboards using tools like Matplotlib/Seaborn to communicate findings from analysis.
- Documentation: Maintain meticulous documentation of code, data sources, methodologies, and modeling pipelines
Key Skills
- Strong proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
- Solid working knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating relational databases
- Familiarity with core Machine Learning concepts and algorithms.
- Proven experience using data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) and visualization libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn).
- Understanding of deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Knowledge of version control systems, specifically Git.
- Knowledge of Big Data technologies (e.g., Spark)
