We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior QA Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications by executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and senior QA members to understand requirements and ensure that products meet functional and performance standards. As a Junior QA Engineer, you will gain hands-on experience in manual and/or automated testing, contribute to improving testing processes, and help deliver high-quality software solutions. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a strong foundation in software testing and quality assurance.
Job Description
Lead testing activities across multiple projects, ensuring effective and efficient use of test processes and tools
Apply various testing techniques such as White Box, Grey Box, Black Box, Test-to-Pass, Test-to-Fail, and automation
Own and manage QA automation frameworks, including pipeline strategy and tools like Cucumber, while setting standards for automation processes
Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and other stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle
Define, implement, and continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools
Demonstrate a strong understanding of QA responsibilities and make informed decisions based on project requirements
Create, maintain, and execute test cases and test plans, and produce detailed and actionable bug reports
Key Skills
- Knowledge of automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, Cypress, etc.)
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps)
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured)
- Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and QA methodologies
- Good communication and collaboration skills
